first let me say i really appreciate all the help people have sent my way on data/appnotes over the years and if someone needs a scan of something, please hit me off list

ok so im really trying to get my databook /applications books LIBRARY in order. its not a hobby collection because i USE THESE! and turn to them constantly like professors

but ive hit a wall as I CANT FIND WHICH BOOK the LM13700 /lm13600 originally came from!!! and i own quite a few National books.!!

<and btw ...yes, of course- i DO have the datasheets as PDFS....but thats not the same for me with the way i like to drag databooks and a highlighter everywhere i go! ;)

learning doesnt feel as inspired (for me) with an ipad.
ok -moving on

i have quite a few appnotes AND databooks with OTAS

(ca3080/ca3082/ca3094/ca3060)

all from RCA.

BUT NOT SO for the LM13600/Lm13700 !!!

which i THOUGHT were developed by national,

they are in NONE OF MY NATIONAL BOOKS!!

not as datasheets or as much loved /treasured applications books

not in my 1979 radio shack edition linear databook (too early?) what year did national first release these??

they arent in my applications books vol 1 and 2 (NO OTAS!!!)

not in my audio handbook

not in my linear supplement 1985

AND VERY SURPRISING TO ME...not in my Treasured copy of the HUGE: NATIONAL applications handbook (1995 or 1994.)

which has WHAT SEEMS APPNOTES ON EVERYTHING Else !!!

which me confuses me about how to finally get ANY AND ALL 13600/700 datasheets and possible app notes onto my bookshelf :(

im scared of buying yet another years applications manual , handbook or DATABOOK from NATIONAL that yet again ignores their OTA chips!

seems much like a record label that signs a band but puts NO MONEY OR EFFORT into promotion, or tour support, it makes me feel that the lm13600/lm13700 were never given serious corporate attention

maybe National figured, "oh RCA already did enough to promote OTAS with 3080...and this is SO so similar to the 3080...."

but to not even MENTION them in the whole giant book? weird

but someone must know the exact books to get on SDIY!!

or even have them for sale. !!

ITS POSSIBLE THEY ARE MENTIONED IN MORE DETAIL IN

national semiconductor VOLS 1/2/3 databooks from the 1980s/1990s....

ANYONE HERE HAVE A SET OF ALL THREE OR at least # 1&2 they might be willing to sell to a good home ????

ill also buy your extra copies of ANY other mnfgrs APPLICATIONS BOOKS !!

also

bonus question:

who was the second source company for the lm13600/lm13700 back then???

triple extra credit: anyone know what brands RCA AND FAIRCHILD morphed into when rca and fairchild ceased existing??? who kept making the books and absorbed the parts into their product lines?SIGNETICS? Harris? motorola??

to me this stuff is SO NEAT!!! such cool history.

id love to talk to anyone about it...off list, etc

or maybe someone knows of a mailing list or forum dedicated to semiconductor history/IC info

(you never know)

Thanks!!!!!!!
