[sdiy] Roland CR 8000 trigger swap

In this "computer-controlled" ® analogue drum machine from 1981, there
are 14 voice circuits that contribute to the preset rhythm patterns.
Three of these (High Conga, Clave, and Rimshot) are not accessible to
the user-programming function.
I would have thought that a dead-easy low-parts-count remedy would be
to install three little toggle switches somewhere inobtrusive, that
diverted the trigger pulses from the CPU to three voices that *are*
programmable, to those three voice circuits.
The downside would be of course that you would then lose those other
three voices from the pattern, and that the assignment was fixed.

Anyone done this or similar?
I know there's loads of audio and trigger mods out there, but I really
like the functionality of this machine and don't intend to hack it too
much.

cheers
Adam
