I personally think some kind of tribute site or memorial site or even just a collection of like you said the knowledge imparted by him or people's interactions with him would be nice 

he worked with and knew a lot of people over the years and was involved in many projects and i know that synthfool helped lots of  people

For example, JH used to have his first site on SYNTHFOOL !
