Saw this announcement come up on a yahoo group, thought it might
interest others here:

Every year at Sphere, we have a big event where we give away tons of
electronics, components, mechanical and test gear stuff, and have a
few exceptional items for sale cheap.  this is part of our annual
effort to clear out space in our two external storage buildings. So,
Friday afternoon through Saturday afternoon, August 1st and 2nd we
will have a veritable electronics smorgasbord of stuff for you to
enjoy. Plus, Technical manuals and books, you will just be amazed at
what's there. Bring your own boxes!

There will be electronic parts, LEDs, semiconductors, tubes, test gear
(both working and salvage), microwave/RF stuff, all kinds of Tek, HP,
Boonton and Fluke equipment AND Manuals.  Most is totally free, a few
bigger ticket items have very good prices, and the factory manuals are
just a few bucks each.  We will also clear out some scopes, RF
generators, several spectrum analyzers, RF power meters, microwave
directional couplers, and more.  Tons of DC wall wart power supplies,
plus bench units.

Interested in something specific? Email and let me know. First come,
first served, yes we will put out items just for you! We have a lot of
people who visit each year from all over, this is our annual chance to
say thanks to everyone!  Getting here (3394 Sunnyside) is easy, take
Boucherie from Hwy. 97 to Sunnyside, we are behind the Quails' Gate
Vineyard in West Kelowna.  Can't make it in person? Get someone who is
coming to shop for you! Yes, it is Ok to bring friends and co-workers,
the more the merrier.


We have tons of salvage HP gear, from distortion analyzers to
counters, and thousands of factory manuals. Yes, we are in Canada, but
it's worth the trip, at least so say previous attendees.
