Subject: [sdiy] in search of good databooks/ application books

recently i had my mind BLOWN by the purchase of the
1995 National Linear Handbook (pease and williams articles as well as many
others )

my god its like 1200 pages of great reading!!!

so now i want to find more of these!! (i had vols 1&2 of the OLD linear
databooks from national but they were small in comparison....and i had the
audio book too)

so i want to get more
i can seek these out but the main problem is figuring out which mnfgrs books
are best ( intersil ? rca? Ti?) as well as which time frames (id think late
70s to early 90s)

AND making sure i dont buy books full of nothing but parts data

(i got bit on ebay with one of those...a huge book of nothing but
cross -referencing)

so....any advice on good ones?

AND anyone looking to find a good home for your old and rarely used
databooks? ill buy em and will use them a lot!!

thanks
