[sdiy] Lithium batteries & corrosion (Was: Retaining button state after power off?)

I have a lot of old gear and the past couple of years I have been
replacing lithium and CRxxxx batteries.  Bought a pile of battery
holders, no solder terminals for the new ones.  Haven't suffered
battery leak and I'm not anxious to.  Cheap insurance indeed.
