Agreed. It's important to be clear that the potential performance isn't guaranteed under all conditions.

I've been arguing with one client, suggesting that they get the Microchip programmer, which is not a great expense, especially since they needed another programmer anyway. But the response is, "but we've never had a problem before, using the cheap programmer." Argh.
