One option is band pass filtering a random noise signal so you get more 
random fluctuations but centered around your desired modulation 
frequency.  This might be more worthwhile in a chorus using a single 
delay line as opposed to a multi delay string chorus, but whether it's 
worth the extra complexity is a judgement call.
