yes, Mutable Instruments are great, I cannot believe they do it just
like that. Well, read below, maybe they share the same point of view.

the point is to push the rip-off-event a bit further in time, maybe by a
year or so, when you already sell a lot of products with that idea and
you don't care anymore, because it's out there, available for anyone's
reverse engineering. Then you release new product. And still customers
will prefer your model instead of ripped cheaper alternative because
it's well youtubed, facebooked and muffwiggled.
But if you see a product in a store that in your fab exists only as
webpage schemo, that's sad. That kind of rip off I had in mind.
I get the feeling this thread is turning into pointles rant, mostly
because of my posts, so I'll just shut up now.
