Our company did so (in Krakow). We did it together with a former polish
employer, which was a big help in regards of the language barriere and
in regards of understanding the local habits.
We founded the company before Poland joined the EU, so it might have
been the same effort as it is today for an US American.
But it works and Poland is a really vivid country. For me - coming from
Munich, which is for sure not the most boring town in Germany - Krakow
is a realy exciting city which lives in a kind of pioneer spirit and a
sense of elation.
