Safety is also of paramount importance when you stick electrodes on the
head or chest. There are very stringent safety standards regarding
acceptable mains leakage current for electrical equipment with an
intentional low-impedance connection to the human body. Cheap chinese
switched-mode power supplies don't meet these medical standards! You
don't need much current across the chest to cause VF so please be
careful!
