I can second this assertion.  I did some considerable amateur reading on
this subject (MIDIfy your head) about 20 years ago.  Doctors, etc agreed
that brainwaves were uninteresting in content and especially hard to
control.

However, something in me tells me that clever DSP might be able to find a
meaningful and controllable signal in there somewhere.  It would be quite
a project.
