Yes. I really wish Korg had done this with their iMS-20 iPad app. Faders would
have been much, much better. It sounds great IMHO but the on-screen-pot is
really not suited to a touchscreen.

And, infuriatingly, the Korg apps I've tried don't seem to do Core
MIDI properly,
(or at all?) so I can't control them over wifi I can with like other
iOS-based MIDI
apps. Apparently they do do MIDI, but it has to be USB via the dock connector.
And an occupied dock connector means no digital audio output is possible AFAIK

Still, if you don't mind analog audio transports and the touchscreen, $100 per
iPad on eBay is a pretty cheap way to get a nice fat, flexible synth.
