I just meant that if the signal through the single-pole low-pass
filter would be equivalent to, say, 64-bit audio, then the signal
through a BBD could be equivalent to, say, 59-bit audio. Due to a
weaker signal or smaller capacitors, etc.

Both would be quantised, but the latter would be "more quantised" in
the sense of being closer to the limit when the quantisation starts to
become relevant. I guess it would be equivalent to the signals having
different resolutions, even though both would be detailed enough. :-)
