[sdiy] Implementing the IR3R01

After much drama, I finally got hold of a couple of IR3R01s.

I'd like to breadboard one up to check it out. But I have a few questions about connections so I don't blow them up.

Pin 1: Key-Follow/MOD - For initial testing I'd like to leave this unconnected. Should I connect it to ground?

The ADSR pins have various current limiting resistors on their inputs (22K, 19k 4.7k, 19k respectively). I believe the JP8 feeds them a 0-5v control voltage, but I'm not sure. Is there anything else I should do to protect them?

Gate (pins 13 and 14): Page 12 of the service manual shows the circuit for generating the gate on the top left. As I understand it, the base of the transistor is fed 5v and the transistor works as a follower, providing 15v for the gate. Is that correct?

P.S. none of the topics from the last few weeks seem to be indexed on the SDIY mailing list site. What's up with that?

Cheers,
