Homebrew appears to be the best package manager for the Mac. I am
amazed at how active the Homebrew community is. If I go even a few
days, I'll see half a dozen or more new or updated formulae. It's
what we use at The Weather Channel where we're rapidly phasing out
windoze in favor of MacOSX.
