[sdiy] Audio hardware platforms?

I can't imagine why anyone would make something like that as an OEM product, 
but maybe
there is an existing cheap mass product without MIDI that can be easily 
hacked.
Should be relatively easy to add MIDI if you are rewriting anyway.
