[sdiy] [WTB] IR3R01 in UK

Re Customs, I concur , I have landed a number of Eurorack modules from here
and there including Australia, most get through , however one valued at 218
GBP got hit for "VAT" (sic) at 6.46 GBP plus 8 GBP handling charge to the
Post Office, the latter of which grates.
They pluck a random figure from the air it would seem.

Regards

Paul

My experience has been that UK customs are extremely patchy about actually
applying charges. Occasionally I have been hit, and as you say, they really
sting, but mostly stuff comes through without incident. Think of it as
russian roulette with a postal service?!
