Hi Neil,

Thanks for your links in the thread "Re: [sdiy] TB-303 smps
interference". I found this article on magnetic field probes, up to
1GHz and beyond, most interesting:

   http://www.compliance-club.com/archive/old_archive/030718.htm

Google books did not display for me whatever it was you found at your
link. However, by this search of books for "e field probe" and
"construction" I found "Design and Development of Medical Electronic ...
- Page 161":

http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=Wtp5lg6UVygC&pg=PA161&dq=%22e+field+probe%22+construction&hl=en&sa=X&ei=JZSSUpHaJYLriAfn3IDwBA&ved=0CEQQ6AEwAA#v=onepage&q=%22e%20field%20probe%22%20construction&f=false

Another result is for Circuit Cellar 71 (June 1996), which Google won't
present in detail, but which can be found here. The text in the above
book is related to the 11 page Circuit Cellar article, which is by David
Prutichi, one of the authors of the above book.

I found a lot of EMC measurement articles at http://emcesd.com . Here
is a discussion on DIY magnetic field probes:

  http://www.eevblog.com/forum/projects/diy-magentic-field-probes/

It contains a diagram from a series of articles which apparently are at
the Rigol site - http://www.rigol.com. However, I wasn't able to find
the articles. I am perplexed by how many people refer to things without
URLs, as if it would be obvious to everyone else how to find something.
The diagram shows details of magnetic and electrical field probes.

Another article with a photo of a home made magnetic field probe:

  http://www.eevblog.com/forum/reviews/near-field-probes/

These products and technical papers look interesting too:

  http://beehive-electronics.com/probe_tech_articles.html

This is not the result of an exhaustive search, just a few things I want
to remember for future reference.
