Thanks to all!  I have a bit of work ahead of me, but I have workable 
equations for both directions. I can fall back on a lookup table for 
speed. I need to beat the equations into a form that I can use for my 
conversion process, but that's just a matter of turning the crank now. 
I will post more info on my blog when I get further along. This list has 
been a great help.
