when i go to NAMM each year to demo the Snazzy FX modules, I do exactly what you are talking about.
i usually put all my signals into a mixer module (to allow both mixing AND attenuation) and from there i plug in a 1/8" to 1/4" cable straight into the KRK ROKIT 6 monitor that i have brought to every meet and trade show since 2009.
ive never had an issue
