Hi Scott,
Although I had reported this problem 3 years ago, I forgot and earlier
today spent an hour and a half trying to figure out how to connect to an
I2S ADC with the SPI port!
There definitely is a DCI module in the dsPIC33FJ128GP802. If you look
in the datasheet:
http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/DeviceDoc/70292G.pdf
you can see it is so for this device and 9 others, including the
dsPIC33FJ32GP302 which Eric Brombaugh used (with its DCI module) to
connect to a codec:
http://ebrombaugh.studionebula.com/synth/dsPIC_sp/index.html
Furthermore, with the original MPLAB, if you look in:
C:\Program Files\Microchip\MPLAB ASM30 Suite\Support\dsPIC33F\inc\
p33FJ128GP802.inc lines 612 to 626 concern the DCI registers.

Indeed: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolfson_Microelectronics . I have
been living under a rock regarding this company's work - I haven't
pulled apart any iPods or iPhones.
