It seems to me that, in order to do stripboard correctly, one still needs to
lay out the circuit graphically.  That's the time consuming part.  However,
layout is much easier if you don't have to conform to some pre-existing
layout.

The physical making of the board is trivially easy once you have a system in
place.  It may take a few minutes longer than stuffing a breadboard, but
then you have a permanent circuit.
