Well, I swapped the TL074 out, which seemed to make a subtle difference, then I went ahead and swapped out the Upper output with the new op-amps and left the Lower output alone, and threw together this little demo for sh!ts 'n' giggles. Unlike the TL074/LM458 swap, the difference here is not so subtle.

Same part played on both sides - new op-amps on one, old ones on the other. No EQ besides what's in the P-10, and minimal compression otherwise.

Thanks for all the pointers, gang - this is a success. As much as I don't like to mess with the signal paths in vintage gear, I think this is one time where the upgrade was an entirely good thing.
