[sdiy] Siel OR400 Transformer needed

Hello folks, this is my first post here. My name is Maeghan, I'm known on the web as pulsewidthmod.

That being said, I'm looking to get a transformer for my Siel OR400. I blew mine in a real stupid accident.

I was swapping out panels because I had purchased a 2nd OR400 to use for parts. The panel/case was nicer (the graphics were brighter) for the parted out one and I decided to swap them out last week. WHile doing so I decided to replace the permanent power cord with a power socket.

Well, I put the power socket in the same area as the power cord. When I went to shut the case it wouldn't shut and I realized that the socket touched the heatsink on the power supply board. So I unscrewed the power supply board from the lower case and moved it over. Shut the synth, turned it on … and it sounded great.

Later I decided to push the socket out a little bit and secure the power supply board back down. At this time, I didn't reconnect the ribbon cable that takes power from the power supply and sends it to the rest of the synth's circuitry.

I thought I had plenty of room but I didn't :(

Turned the OR400 on and a big spark :(

Fortunately, power wasn't supplied to the rest of the synth. From the spare parts, I did have another power supply board but I can't find the transformer. I might have given it to a friend who was helping me at the time.

I"ve looked over the schematics for the Siel Mono, which shares the same power supply, and it doesn't specify the transformer needed. Some people on muffwigglers have said it could be 25v, 15v, and some have said 30v … all center tapped.

Here's the schematic for the power supply: http://dc142.4shared.com/doc/KHy38vKD/preview008.png

If anyone can help, it would be much appreciated :)

cheers ~ maeghan/pulsewidthmod
