[sdiy] Prophet 10 op-amp swaps?

Well, I've pulled my good ol' Sequential Prophet 10 out of storage, and putting it next to my P-5 I'm now distinctly aware of the slightly veiled sound that it has, compared to the 5. From all I've ever heard/read from others, the 10's did sound different from the 5's...

I see this thing has a bunch of LF356's in both the EQ and output sections. Do you all think there'd be any advantage - or would it even work - to swap those out for something better, in hopes of removing the veil? TL072's? OPA 134's?

Also, the 3280 on the output board runs pretty hot. Seems like the other two P-10's I've ever got to see were the same way.
Is there any cure for that, or does one just live with it?
