Great post, Bob.
Besides that you are obviously right in trusting pepole when it pays to do
so, insurance is by no means a warranty against problems.
I friend of mine, Derek Holzer, sends out his custom made sound boxes to
international customers through an insured parcel service - only to find out
that getting insurance for a box that was broken en route, was a
bureaucratic nightmare, involving two countries' postal services and several
post offices.
