[sdiy] Simple flanger circuit?

Hi Paul,
Does it have to be a flanger or can it be another effect? How about
adding a delay to your atari punk console using the pt-2399 delay
chip... the supporting circuit is pretty minimal and I believe
smallbearelec.com carries the chip for pretty cheap.
