Has anyone done it or were they all destroyed?"

I have parts of an analog missile targeting computer made by Boeing (or,
at least, that's what I was told it was). One module is just four
(fancy, lockable) ten-turn potentiometers with three banana jacks for
each pot; the other is pretty much just a voltage-controlled comparator
that has never worked. The engraved panels are very nice, though.

I bought them both at the late, lamented Boeing Surplus store.

By the way--if you're anywhere near a major university, many have
surplus sales outlets. The University of Washington version:

...often has interesting old test equipment. Their online auctions have
even more great stuff, but I've been outbid every time so far.

I bought a bunch of old test equipment in wooden cases with the idea of
building synth stuff inside them, but I haven't been able to bring
myself to do so. The old innards are way too beautiful to cast aside.

Thanks,

Ole
