My old JX-3P sends an "all notes off" message when the last note of a
chord is released. I don't know if that is behaviour common to Rolands
of that era?
It is presumably a "safety net" to prevent stuck notes, but it caused
me a lot of head scratching the first time I tried to merge its data
with another synth.
I also remember that one module I had, actually cut off the release
phase of dying notes when the last JX-3P key was lifted and it received
the "all notes off" message!
