I got caught out ordering from Mammoth to the UK once. UK Customs picked up my parcel and whacked a £45 charge on it. I'd ordered a hundred chips of something. I have no idea what the charge was for (they don't tell you) or what I was supposed to have done to avoid it, or whether I'm supposed to pay such a ridiculous tax every time but mostly I get away with it. Customs charges seem total random from what I can tell - they fall from the sky, and sometimes they land on you.
Anyway, watch out.
