[sdiy] To SMT orNot to SMT.. that is my question

I do all of my power rail bypass caps in 1206 smt. If a product needed
to be surface mount because of availability or footprint, I would be
quick to adopt without hesitation. Yet, I keep it through hole when
there's no immediate reason to do it otherwise (barring the nickel in
resistors it'll save).
