[sdiy] Cheetah MS6 Problems

My dear old MS6 has just come out of storage. On powering it up I noticed 2 
things ... first, I got a bit of a belt when I plugged a jack into the audio 
out [ bit worrying! ] then on opening it up I notice there's a flying 
resistor/diode coming from near REG3 - the +12V regulator - that has come 
adrift at the diode end. I don't know if this was a factory 'fix' or if it's 
been added by the previous owner.

If anyone has a Cheetah, I wonder if they could take a look inside and see, 
if they have this mod, where the diode end should go.

Any help would be appreciated.
