I came across this thing, and think it's an absolutely amazing idea:

You get capacitive sensing boards which you stick on your current keyboard
whatever that is (even piano). You connect stuff via a PCB.
It sends out OSS and MIDI and whatnot.

You can move your fingers up and down or left and right and the thing
responds.
