Hi crow,

I use Altium 13.3.4 now but used Orcad 16.6/allegro at work. I have used pads 9.4 as well for exporting Analog devices projects into Altium .

On the Mac I have Douglas capilano but I use less freq. these days.

I find each tool has pro's and con's but as I use bga devices more and more. I find I need to simulate trace layout on ddr3 to work .

So the short story is protocol for the job is use expert tools for best results.

Everything costs money if time is wasted on cheap tools.

I found eagle pro just did not meet my needs, but it can do work.

Terry
