Yes, I changed from variable voltage regulators to fixed voltage regulators. the jumper was to bring the input into the regulator. I also had to twist the positive regulator's legs and put some shrink tubing on the leg so that the input would be going to the original input and the ground would be going to the original ground.
I did keep a pair of the original variable regulators because it was working.
Part of the current problem was solved by putting the original 4016, bilateral switches back in … i had taken some 4066's and put them in there … the final issue it has should be fixed when i get my shipment from tayda and replace the LM13700 that has a broken leg. Right now it is in there with another socket, i tried soldering the leg back on but it broke right at the base. When I do a continuity test, I 'hear the music' but I'm gonna guess that i might have heated it up too much when I tried soldering the leg on. I'm guessing that the LM13700 is the issue because it's tied to the brass section and the brass section sounds off. Strings are fine, and the piano is fine. the brass is off and the organ is off too
Yeah, I"ve learned a whole bunch. I also prepared for the worst and found a roland rs-09 that i bought just in case i was gonna have to re-record all the siel's parts with a new synth.
