No, I don't know anything about Infineon.

However, I briefly got them confused with Intersil, who make a lot of  
chips that were used in vintage analog synths, such as the DG506  
analog mux, CA3080 OTA, and some NVRAM variations. I think they make  
some of the chips that Siliconix invented - analog mux chips that can  
handle higher voltages, and are thus very useful for analog synths.  
In other words, if you'd been asking about Intersil, I'd say they  
were pretty important.
