I can't help, but would just like to say that I am this guy - readers have a quite basic understanding of electronics. They know that resistors and capacitors exist (only a few will know what they do), and they know the difference of AC and DC - and very much appreciate your effort to explain in a basic, conceptual manner what is actually done to filter frequencies! I understood what you wrote and now I know a more about basic filter circuit design than I did 5 minutes ago. :D
