Are you sure it's 6 pins? It would be incompatible to other Yamaha gear then (VL70-m etc.).

1: no connection
2: MIDI (there's no current limiting resistor, just a tranny to gnd in the WX5)
3: Ground
4: Ground (no connection in the VL70-m)
5: +9V
The shield is connected to +9V!
