Hello Jay,
Good to know about the "stereo" naming convention.
I thought stereo DAC was refering to its 2 channel nature ;)
so the cs4344 i'm going to use is a '10-pin, 24-Bit, 192 kHz Stereo D/A
Converter'
The data sheet mentions analog filtering at the output of the chip.
So I should be fine connecting it without an additional opamp as long as
the output volume is high enough (as Richie stated in the other answer.)
