Ah - now I'm with you. I thought you were talking about issues with two 
chips, didn't realise you were referring to my "ideal scenario" of a 
single part.

Of course, if there were demand, a part could be produced with two dies 
in a single package - sure that's been done before (I don't mean for 
this application.)

Dave - if this were a DIP plugin solution, what support components would 
you like to see on there, apart from the obvious decoupling for the DAC 
power supply?
