Hi All.
An AX 80 arrived on the doorstep yesterday with the symptom of "it
doesn't power up". A little inspection soon revealed why. The voltage
select switch on the underside was sheared off, so no mains getting in.
This AX has windings for 100, 110, 220 and 240 Volts so there are a lot
of primary windings. For safety during first power up, I would like to
rewire it for 240 VAC (in Ireland we use 230V but it should work. The
available online manual shows no details of the mains switch wiring.
I have measured all the primary windings and have come to a possible
wiring solution for 240V.
Grey is Live, join Orange and Yellow to connect the 2 sets of primaries
and Blue as Neutral. Has anyone out there had to do this or have any
insight into the trafo wiring?
My scenario would seem to give the highest primary resistance which I
can only assume is for 240 Volts.
Regards,
John.
