[sdiy] opinions on the best way to integrate modular into DAW recording?

I have a great modular setup.
I also have a pretty usable DAW sequencer setup.
But I have no real way to get the two to lock up.

(i DO have a trusty old yamaha drum machine which puts out a sync clock, but even that puts out a clock
 which is must too fast to be much use unless i divide it way down)

So I wanted to know what everyone else uses nowadays.

 

My main requirements are

1. at bare minimum, a usable clock. 

2. Midi Note to CV 

3. Recording of CV to DAW would be a luxury option

I would like to do most of my sequencing on the modular, using the MFB sequencer, the Ardcore sequencers, and the Rene.
But I want to lock these to a set tempo so I can add guitars, drum machines, whatever.

I know some people have had great success with Silent Way...any Silent Way users on here that can comment?
