You are quite right. I have tried to figure out who was the original  
maker, but there are no markings whatsoever on the switches. Probably  
something cheap to keep costs down.
I have located a switch that *might* be suitable, but even though it  
is from CW Industries, neighter Mourser nor Digikey list the switch,  
even though they sell lots of other switches.
I have emailed the maker directly to see what kind of options are  
possible. They are willing to make custom switches, but I have no idea  
of the magnitude required to make custom switches.
