[sdiy] Weird JX3P midi behavior

Hi All,

I got a Roland JX3P recently and have been getting it up to snuff. I
replaced the battery and a few pots on the programmer and its been
great save for some weird MIDI issues.  Not sure if its an OS thing or
what but I'd love some tips on where to start digging around.

1. Midi out - note on events are only firing when you let up a key. No
note off events are happening and nothing happens when you depress a
key, only when you let off.

2. Midi in - not responding at all to midi input
