[sdiy] Transilluminated Knobs

Hello,

Do you know of affordable sources for transilluminated (backlit) knobs?
I stumbled upon the EHC knobs http://www.ehcknobs.com/index.php?id=TM
but with prices from 10-20$ per knob! they are much too pricey.

I'd love to have a simple (soft touch?) black knob with a transparent 
marker for LED illumination.
An encoder knob without markings but with a glowing ring on top would be 
nice, too
