I do not bend the metal sheets myself.
I get them done cut and bent by a local metal works company at $4.00
for each 1U dotcom frontpanel (qty around 50).
As I stated in an earlier post:
I use a table press punch I bought at 
http://busybeetools.ca for around $100.00CAD
A friend of mine who is a machinist built me an adapter to insert
some punch bits with the correct diameter sizes for the most used holes like
leds, toggle switches, 1/4" jacks, Alpha pots, etc..
I just change the bit for the correct holes to punch.

Under the handle part there is a dark steel rectangular part followed by
a lower hexagonal part. These have been built to fit with the press actuator going down
and accept a punching bit underneath.
The desired bit is secured with an hex screw at the overall bottom.
No more unaligned drill holes..
