[sdiy] JX-3P service queries

Hi all,

I got one off Ebay and some things appear to have happened during 
transit. I had a look yesterday, but reckon I'll either return the 
machine or take it to a regular tech - but I still thought I'd ask here 
if people have ever experienced these problems.

1) Patch Buttons 1-8 and their associated LEDs are non-functional - now, 
having checked the service manual a bit, I can understand why all 8 
would go at a time - but I did check inter-board connections (eg. SW SC 
1) and these appear good. Or perhaps IC34 (on the main board) has a 
problem. Anyone seen similar before?

2) Weird Bend -- the pitch stick has two strange things -- 1stly it 
bends up in both directions - sure that must be wrong? And then the 
range switch has no effect - I tested the switch with a DMM and it 
appears good.. So, again, anyone seen similar before?

Really keen to have a JX-3P but not so keen on mending or sorting tech 
repairs. Hmmm. Well, thanks for any help!
