I got nearly the same results when I had accidentally swapped the
resistors. I'm going to give Alan's suggestion of putting in a center
tap on my power supply (in my case, a 9V battery as this will
hopefully end up in a stomp box) and re measuring. Once I get back
from work later tonight. Results will be posted!
