[sdiy] Heathkit Oscilloscope Information

Partially off synth topic - but does anyone have a schematic an/or manual 
for a Heathkit (Bell & Howell) IOD-4540 Oscilloscope? Mine died yesterday, 
and I hate playing with high voltage circuits without having any knowledge 
of what the voltages are and where.

And for those of you still with me, anyone have a favorite model for a NEW 
oscilloscope costing less than $500 (approximately an extra $30-40 won't 
kill me.) (for my Euro friends that would be a 400 euro or less scope.)

And as long as I'm being obnoxious anybody got a favorite place to put web 
pages? Cox deleted all customer web pages (copyright worries I guess) so my 
synth book is no longer on line. I've thought about setting up a server 
here, but that involves upgrading an old computer to link to my LAN and 
letting everyone access if with an IP address instead of www. That would be 
a trip back to the FTP days of the '90s.

Who hasn't updated his signature page since my computer crashed and cox 
eliminated my web pages. However I've finally managed to get back in my lab 
now that my mother died about 9 months ago.
